Clinical Interests:
Bethany is a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW). She treats adults who have experienced trauma, anxiety, depression and borderline personality disorder, as well as individuals struggling with life transitions. Therapy treatments may include Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS), among others.
Clinical Approach:
Her priority is to build resiliency for individuals experiencing a variety of life stressors and mood disorders in a non-judgmental environment. Bethany believes the client is the expert of their life experiences, and it's her role to empower them to develop a healthy narrative of their experiences using their strengths and values. To do this, she incorporates skills training and psychoeducation into therapy sessions to provide practical skills and application opportunities to create new neural pathways for managing distressing emotions and experiences in healthy ways.
