Clinical Approach:
My clinical approach is starting with the person first. All humans have needs, however sometimes those needs have been left unmet and as adults we're left with confusion in understand ourselves and our experiences. I work from primarily an attachment based lens while also remaining trauma focused. During our sessions, you remain the primary expert of your life and your story. While life constantly changes around us, one thing remains and that is the power you hold to be the maker of your own story. For in-person sessions I can also be accompanied by my therapy dog, Mack.
Hobbies:
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I especially have a love for animals as I have one dog, Mack as well as an elderly cat, Lola. I grew up on a farm so I have a realm of experience in that arena as well! I enjoy being outdoors whether it be kayaking or reading a good book on the porch. I am an Iowa Hawkeye fan and love to watch them play any sport that is on. I spend a lot of my time being active and on the go, but really enjoy working out and weightlifting.
