Clinical Interests:
Kathleen currently is working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families. She has experience providing therapy for clients of a wide range of ages and clinical presentations. Kathleen especially enjoys working with individuals struggling with self-worth, relationship issues, trauma, grief/loss, and infertility. Kathleen helps couples improve respect and communication, and parents to improve relationships with their children while strengthening their parenting. Kathleen has training in Christian counseling and can offer integrated therapy for interested clients.
Clinical Approach:
Kathleen utilizes a person-centered approach, based on her belief that the foundation of meaningful therapy is a genuine relationship between the client and therapist. Kathleen operates from a trauma informed perspective and will support clients in exploring the impact of their earlier experiences on their current functioning. Kathleen works to assist clients in developing deeper self-understanding. Kathleen supports clients in identifying their values and making meaningful and intentional choices.
Kathleen uses some aspects of ACT and frequently teaches clients mindfulness skills. Kathleen is trained in EMDR and can support you in healing from difficult experiences. When working with families Kathleen has a passion for helping caregivers better understand the emotional and developmental needs of their children and for increasing family communication.

Kathleen enjoys spending time with her family, participating in church and community activities, and outdoor fun.
